Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to drive our Enterprise Storage strategy, design and management across our data centres and clinics.
You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining SAN/NAS storage solutions and VMware-based virtualisation environments, ensuring high availability, performance and scalability. In addition to Storage technical leadership, this role includes significant involvement in data centre operations, VMware architecture and lifecycle management, and proactive performance tuning.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Enterprise Storage Management: Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, maintain and optimise critical Enterprise Storage services SAN, NAS and related fabric switches.
  • Virtualisation Environment Management: Design, implement and maintain VMware environments including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN and Horizon VDI.
  • Automation & Innovation: Promote automation using PowerCLI and other scripting tools to improve operational efficiency to achieve service level targets for quality, cost, scalability and security.
  • Lifecycle & Capacity Management: Planning and executing lifecycle and capacity management activities ensuring ongoing supportability, compliance and accurate forecasting to meet business needs.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure proactive monitoring, timely and quality incident response, conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Knowledge Transfer & Continuous Improvement: Share technical expertise in Infrastructure functions, promote best practices, enhance IT solutions, and update guidelines collaboratively to improve operations.
  • Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with internal teams, partners and vendors, providing excellent support and acting as a technical resource to deliver reliable, secure and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
