We’re looking for a talented and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and help deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing technology services for one of our most important customer contracts. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across a broad range of infrastructure technologies, thrives in a collaborative environment, and takes pride in keeping systems running smoothly and efficiently.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations, resolving technical issues, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of our infrastructure estate. You’ll work closely with internal teams and third-party partners to ensure service levels are met and exceeded, while also playing a key role in supporting change and transformation initiatives. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering role
  • Relevant certifications in cloud and infrastructure. VMware and Microsoft certifications highly desirable
  • Proficiency in network architecture and protocols (TCP/IP, AD, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (Microsoft, AWS and Google Cloud).
  • Strong knowledge of virtualisation technologies (VMware is essential)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on private and public Cloud
  • Implement cloud-based solutions and services, ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency
  • Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers ensuring high availability and disaster recovery solutions are in place
  • Monitor and manage Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and other essential infrastructure services
  • Analyse system performance data and make recommendations for improvements
  • Implement monitoring tools to track system performance and availability.
  • Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Implement and enforce security best practices and policies
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups
