Job Purpose: As an Infrastructure Engineer at Stridon, you will play a critical role within our Managed Services Team, focused on delivering services that ensure the highest levels of operational availability and uptime of our clients’ technology ecosystem. You will be responsible for supporting, managing, and triaging infrastructure, cloud, and application services, while keeping an eye on cybersecurity events and overall system security. The successful candidate will bring an enthusiastic, vivacious attitude towards technology and its application in bringing positive change to people’s lives.

SKILL SET AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working within a Managed Service Provider environment is highly advantageous.
  • Industry qualifications are desirable (Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, VCP, CCNA, Cisco Unified Computing System).
  • Administration, management, and troubleshooting experience across a broad range of infrastructure and cloud technologies, including Microsoft technology stack, VMware, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto firewalls, Microsoft 365 applications and services, endpoint management tools, and more.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, cyber security principles, PowerShell and other scripting languages, Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS architecture, and ITIL v4 Foundation.
Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build positive rapport with everyone you connect with daily.
  • Uphold Stridon’s mission and values.
  • Provide ongoing operational support for internal, cloud, and client systems architecture, ensuring uptime and availability, both remotely and onsite.
  • Act as the first contact point for client infrastructure and cyber incident support requests and alerts, demonstrating patience, empathy, and technical expertise.
  • Leverage monitoring tools to detect, respond to, and troubleshoot infrastructure performance and reliability issues.
  • Use vulnerability management tools to scan for and remediate vulnerabilities across client infrastructure, deploying patches, firmware, and software updates.
  • Monitor, manage, and configure cyber defence tools, including email hygiene, endpoint detection and response, secure cloud gateways, multi-factor authentication, and advanced identity management.
  • Monitor and manage client firewalls, intrusion detection, and intrusion prevention tools.
  • Administer backup and data resiliency tools to ensure client workloads are protected within defined SLAs.
  • Operate to defined SLA, OLA, and KPI models, in alignment with ITIL best practices and client commitments.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and knowledge management of client and internal systems and processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date incident records using service desk tools.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota to respond to ticket escalation and system alerts.
