Read more about IOM's workplace culture at IOM workplace culture | International Organization for Migration [https://www.iom.int/iom-workplace-culture] Project Context and Scope: The Consultant services are required to support implementation of activities within variety of projects focused on the repairs, reconstruction, overhaul or construction of the selected infrastructure objects. The project “Hromada Reconstruction and Empowerment Facility” (HREF) is implemented on the basis of the Agreement concluded between the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Credit Institution for Reconstruction (KfW) on 19 December 2023 (BMZ-No 2023 679 69). The project “Economic Integration of Internally Displaced People and Persons affected by Conflict” (Livelihood +) is implemented on the basis of the agreement signed between the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and KfW with the aim to improve the economic independence and thus the living conditions of internally displaced persons and population groups affected by conflict with high economic vulnerability. In order to achieve greater effectiveness by interlinking the various components of the programme, activities are implemented in Poltava and Sumy oblasts, which are benefitting also from other projects funded by German government through KfW. These components include improving the infrastructure within businesses, investing in economically relevant local infrastructure and setting up a network of regional advisory centers (Hubs and sub-Hubs). The Consultant will be responsible for technical assessments, preparing scope of required works, monitoring repairs and rehabilitations of selected buildings, in coordination with relevant colleagues, partners and municipalities. Also, if required, the consultant might support activities related to repairs and refurbishment in collective centres or damaged individual residencies and multi-apartment residential buildings. Responsibilities

The consultant will conduct technical assessments and prepare scopes of work for the repair and reconstruction of infrastructure objects. They will monitor the rehabilitation of buildings and support refurbishment activities in collective centers and residential buildings.
