Description
Reporting into the Director, Infrastructure Investments, the Infrastructure Investments Analyst is responsible for supporting multiple Ledcor groups in the pursuit of major infrastructure and P3 projects. Your key responsibilities will include applying best practices to support the identification, evaluation, and execution of infrastructure investment opportunities. This will involve conducting research and analysis to provide insights that inform business decisions, assisting with complex financial models, and handling deliverables related to financing arrangements. Additionally, you will monitor existing equity investments in infrastructure projects and provide financial modeling support for Treasury and Corporate Finance mandates as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develops and supports complex financial models for valuation analyses, evaluating investment and new bid/contract opportunities (both P3 and non-P3), including maintenance contracts, mergers, acquisitions, disposals, and development projects within Ledcor operating groups
  • Supports project finance, infrastructure models, and corporate/equipment finance solutions as needed
  • Researches and analyzes investment opportunities, preparing detailed materials to support transaction execution
  • Participates in procurement working groups, assisting with requests for qualifications (RFQs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and bid documentation, as well as supporting the financial close process
  • Engages as an active member of project management and commercial/finance teams for major infrastructure and P3 project pursuits
  • Supports asset management activities, including performance monitoring of infrastructure assets, participation in stakeholder meetings, debt refinancing, reporting, and divestiture analysis
  • Conducts research and due diligence on Public-Private Partnership (P3) market opportunities, providing business unit leaders with competitive intelligence on upcoming projects
  • Creates and maintains financial reporting, presentations, and tracking mechanisms for existing and upcoming project pipelines related to major infrastructure and P3 projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’ degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • CFA certification preferred
  • Min of 2 years of relevant experience in a structured transactional environment (i.e. investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, project finance, transaction advisory, corporate development, etc.)
  • Experience interpreting and developing financial models
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint and experience with data analysis
  • Understanding of equity investment, project financing principles, financial modeling and valuation concepts
  • Strong communication skills: proven ability to articulate your analyses and to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborative and innovative team player, with experience coordinating teams and managing tight deadlines
