Job Description The Infrastructure IT Engineer is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of the company’s IT systems and networks. This role covers server and network management, firewall configuration, backup systems, and end-user support. The position requires a proactive mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience in managing enterprise-level infrastructure. System & Network Administration Manage and maintain company servers (Windows/Linux) and network devices (router, firewall, switch, access point). Monitor system performance, capacity, and uptime; perform proactive maintenance to prevent downtime. Configure and optimize LAN/WAN/VPN connectivity between offices and remote teams. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control for all internal systems. Ensure smooth operation of internal services such as email, file sharing, and VoIP. Security & Compliance Administer and monitor firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Sophos) and endpoint protection systems. Maintain system logs and security alerts; respond promptly to potential incidents. Support ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance through proper documentation and access control audits. Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and restoration readiness. Technical Support & Coordination Provide Level 2/3 technical support for internal users (network, hardware, software). Collaborate with vendors and service providers (ISP, hardware, and software suppliers). Maintain IT asset inventory, including hardware, licenses, and warranties. Participate in IT budget planning, procurement, and cost optimization initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure or system/network administration. Hands-on experience with: Firewalls: Fortinet or Mikrotik, Sophos, Palo Alto Servers: Windows Server, Ubuntu, CentOS Networking: VLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, Routing Virtualization: Xen, VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills under pressure. Excellent understanding of IT security principles and best practices. Proactive, structured, and detail-oriented approach. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple teams. Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
