Infrastructure Operator – Tauranga Intergroup is one of New Zealand’s leading providers of infrastructure and industrial services, supporting communities across the country through essential services including waste management, industrial cleaning, infrastructure maintenance, and specialist operations. We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Infrastructure Operators to join our Tauranga team. About the Role This is a physical, hands-on role where you’ll spend much of your time carrying out litter collection services across Tauranga. You’ll work outdoors in a fast-paced environment helping keep public spaces clean, safe, and well presented. Alongside litter collection, you’ll also support a range of infrastructure operations including: Street sweeping Leaf and debris blowouts Recycling collection using compactor vehicles General infrastructure and maintenance support activities No two days are the same, and flexibility is important as operational priorities can change depending on weather, events, and seasonal demands. Key Responsibilities Carry out litter collection and public space cleaning services Operate infrastructure and specialist vehicles safely and efficiently Complete pre-start vehicle and equipment checks Support street sweeping, blowouts, and recycling operations as required Work safely and follow company procedures at all times Deliver high-quality service to councils, clients, and the public About You Ideally, you will have: A full Class 2 licence A strong work ethic and positive attitude Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all conditions Reliability and the ability to work independently and within a team Flexibility to work early starts and changing shifts when required Experience in infrastructure, cleaning, waste, civil, or related industries (preferred but not essential) What We Offer Stable, full-time work with a well-established national company A supportive team environment Ongoing training and development opportunities Variety in your day-to-day work Opportunities to grow your career within Intergroup If you enjoy practical work, like being outdoors, and want to be part of a team delivering essential services to the Tauranga community, we’d like to hear from you.
