A. PROFILE Role Title: Infrastructure Planning Senior Engineer Reporting to: Infrastructure Senior Manager Division: Information & Communication Technology Department / Section: Technology & Information B. CONTEXT Purpose: Under the supervision of infrastructure domain head, this role is responsible of planning, build, and optimization of ICT Infrastructure. Context: Technology & Information is responsible for development and planning of the long/medium term technology network roadmap and architecture for both network and IT in line with corporate overall strategic requirements and technology strategy and to ensure that all network and it projects are aligned with the medium-term Network roadmap. The role will be responsible of leading a team of talented engineers supporting Unify Infrastructure program including computing, storage, and platform, Virtualization (Hypervisor, VIM, and Cloud Management Platform). C. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES Provide Unify Infrastructure services vision, enable innovation, and leverage on ICT trends and technologies to create the needed business value E2E responsible for planning and building of the ICT Infrastructure Responsible for Infrastructure computing for ICT systems (Design new infra for enhancing & new implementations till it is ready for acceptance) Responsible for Infrastructure Storage of ICT systems (Design new infra for enhancing & new implementations till it is ready for acceptance) Responsible for Platform OS, Data based and middleware (Design new infra for enhancing & new implementations till it is ready for acceptance) Responsible for Virtualization (Hypervisor, VIM, Cloud Management platform ) (Design new infra for enhancing & new implementations till it is ready for acceptance) Responsible for ICT/Unify infrastructure services target KPI (Design new infra for enhancing & new implementations till it is ready for acceptance) Responsible for ICT/Unify infrastructure to be maintained within the capacity threshold (Design new infra for enhancing & new implementations till it is ready for acceptance) Responsible for Enterprise IT Networks, mobility, and SDNs (Design new infra for enhancing & new implementations till it is ready for acceptance) Support Strategic Planning such as capacity expansion, re-optimization for ICT systems Develop RFPs/RFIs, product evaluations, PoCs, and strong partnerships with vendors and suppliers Establish and maintain strong relationships with OEMs such as Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, etc. Lead all Infrastructure projects and liaise with other ICT departments to ensure timelines are met within budget Participate in ICT strategic planning, budget planning, and projects planning Ensure efficiency through smart CAPEX spend D. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS ICT/Unify Infrastructure Services target KPI ICT applications time to market KPI (Infra Services) ICT/Unify Infrastructure Service maintained within the capacity threshold E. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS & DECISION MAKING Interacts with: Internal: U9 Business users, ICT Strategic Planning team, ICT EA team, and ICT Director External: Infrastructure Vendors. U9 Managed Services Contractors Decision Making Planning, and budgeting for Unify infra and exiting NGBSS and Non-NGBSS F. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge 5-8 year experience ICT infrastructure and platforms Experience in Huawei/ Dell/ HP/ IBM platforms Solid experience in Storage/ VMware solution Minimum Entry Qualifications Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent ITIL (Foundation) is a plus
