We are looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager to join us, to take responsibility for delivering complex IT infrastructure projects and supporting the delivery of business change initiatives across Kingfisher Group.
Due to the nature of the role and team it sits within/supports, we would require the successful candidate to be based out of our B&Q office just outside Southampton, working from the office 2-3 days a week. We are also open to flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.

What’s the job?:

  • Effective management of project scope and project plans, with accurate and timely project/budget reporting and by planning, as well as identifying, assessing and managing risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of projects and acting as the first point of contact for any issues, ensuring their timely resolution.
  • Identifying, planning, managing and selecting appropriate resources, including third parties and suppliers, to deliver the required services.
  • Ensuring projects operate within the agreed governance frameworks.
  • Managing project finances, forecast accuracy and the management of any changes, recognising schedule, budget and scope impact (project budgets from £20k-£4m).
  • Creating certainty and managing key stakeholders through effective communication, identifying key issues and providing actionable insights to enable effective decision making.
  • Managing multiple (3-5) projects concurrently (depending on size/scale).

What you’ll bring:

  • IT infrastructure experience, including the full project lifecycle, is essential.
  • Proven experience of project delivery across diverse technology areas, e.g.:
  • On-Premise, Cloud and/or hosted infrastructure.
  • SAP, Databases, ATG, Applications.
  • Windows server, Linux, VMware, Storage, Networks.
  • End-User devices, Windows OS, Office 365, Collaboration tools.
  • Active Directory, Identity, PAM, Security.
  • IT Service Management, Service Now, monitoring, asset management.
  • Experienced in delivering significant technical and non-technical change.
  • Well-developed understanding of financial management processes and cycles, including forecasting, capitalisation, budgeting etc.
  • Strong planning capability and the ability to identify key dependencies across project activities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, and an ability to engage, connect and influence at all levels of the organisation.
