Description
What will you do? At DODD’S assigned Developmental Centers and/or offices, answers questions from end users, offers technical solutions and assistance to meet business needs of customers and presents informal mentorship opportunities to peers and/or lower-level staff via conversation, observation, or technical documentation Offers assistance with producing various reports for the center Independently installs, maintains, configures, upgrades and/or administers hardware (e.g., PCs, laptops, printers) and/or software (e.g., MS Office Professional) Provides Tier II-III level customer support, business continuity, promotes system security and awareness by adhering to the Agency’s and/or State’s IT security policy(s) and standards, telecommunications, and physical network connectivity Devises new approaches to problems encountered Diagnoses, analyzes, and resolves issues for customer(s) in assigned single technology domain Creates, organizes, files, and maintains ITS documentation Grant access, maintain user accounts, troubleshoot problems, and upgrade software Takes appropriate action and responds to alarms/alerts per agency policy and procedure (e.g., anti-virus, spam) Provides input and suggestions to supervisor/management relative to scope of duties Performs client support for specific agency/enterprise systems This includes user account support, end user support and training, and application support Interfaces with other platforms from a hardware and/or software perspective (e.g., video conference equipment) Changes telephone system (moves\adds\changes), updates speed dial, assists with running call reports Support DC payroll department with Kronos time clock hardware configuration Configure wireless devices to connect and operate on the network (e.g., laptops, smart phones, etc.) To request a reasonable accommodation due to disability, please contact our ADA Coordinator by email at EEO-DiversityAffairs@dodd.ohio.gov . 36 months' combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating a single technology domain including 12 months' work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
