Summary: We are currently hiring for the position of Infusion Center Medical Assistant at our location in Bowling Green, KY. This position is responsible for providing support to the infusion center by performing clerical and administrative duties, assisting with clinical duties and greeting incoming patients, while supporting and demonstrating TwelveStone’s values and philosophies in the accomplishment of our mission. This position is not eligible for telework. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Sets up, cleans, and disinfects exam rooms and medical equipment and maintains stock of medications and medical supplies. Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods. Schedule patient appointments. Receive and sort mail, scan documents, etc. Collects data from patients, including insurance information, demographics, and home medication lists. Verifies benefits prior to Infusion Center appointments. Collects Out of Pocket/Co-insurance payments from patients. Greets patients and families, answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate person. Check in patients for the infusion center appointments. Must report to work on time, maintain acceptable attendance and perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED required. Certified as a Medical Assistant preferred. Experience: 1-2 years of MA experience in a medical field required. Experience in a medical office preferred. Must be proficient in the use of MS office and medical EMR.
