Description
** Applicants should reside in the state of Florida **  The Infusion Operations Coordinator supports and coordinates partner program infusion services within oncology facilities. This program provides both in-person and remote disease state and product-specific information to providers prescribing and patients receiving an oncology adjacent product as it relates to successful clinical considerations to manage patient tolerability, adherence and improved patient outcomes.   This position is not responsible for instructing clinicians on how to give the infusion. Instead, it focuses on patient and provider education with evidence-based considerations for successful product use and side-effect management. This includes but is not limited to clinical considerations, such as antiemetic utilization, immediate post treatment considerations, and support for the discharge and transition to home care of patients. This role is not a treating clinician but is complementary to the work of the manufacturer MSL and/or the treating provider.   The Infusion Operations Coordinator is a clinical resource and an implementation facilitator - someone who can engage in meaningful clinical dialogue while serving as an effective communicator. The role requires a professional who is personable, collaborative, articulate, and highly supportive - a “hand holder” and “facilitator” who ensures the smooth adoption and ongoing use of therapy, both at the individual patient and the prescriber level. Candidates with prior manufacturer experience (e.g., former MSLs) who combine strong oncology backgrounds and excellent interpersonal skills are well-suited for this position.   This field-based role requires >75% travel (initially concentrated in Florida and Southeast region, although other areas may be involved) and is central to PRO-spectus’ mission as a patient access solutions company fiercely dedicated to helping patients gain access to the care they need.   Core Duties/Responsibilities:   * Partner with oncology HCPs (academic, community, and private practices) to provide disease state, therapy placement, clinical considerations, and adherence strategies. * Facilitate clinical discussions on pre-treatment planning, immediate post-treatment care, and patient readiness for discharge/home. * Conduct nurse in-service programs in response to identified site needs or HCP requests. * Provide patient and caregiver education in collaboration with advocacy organizations and PRO-spectus’ Clinical Navigator program. * Serve as a clinical resource and facilitator at educational events such as symposiums, staff trainings, and health fairs. * Attend scheduled administrations for new patients to provide onsite support, education, and follow-up throughout the patient journey. * Identify barriers to patient adherence and offer individualized interventions with mutually agreed to solutions. * Support prescribers through site visits in collaboration with manufacturer sales representatives, ensuring smooth therapy implementation. * Collect, analyze, and share insights on post-therapy outcomes and patient experiences. * Build strong relationships with oncology HCPs, addressing challenges and unmet needs to optimize patient support. * Present reports on educational activities, program outcomes, and performance metrics. * Stay current with professional knowledge (literature review, workshops, professional societies such as ONS and AONN) and maintain licensure. * Ensure compliance with privacy, regulatory standards, and adverse event reporting. * Manage travel, documentation, and expense reporting in line with program requirements. Skills & Requirements: * Strong oncology nursing expertise with focus on adherence and patient support. * Personality that blends clinical credibility with the communication style of a sales-oriented educator—confident, personable, approachable, and engaging. * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with HCPs, caregivers, and patients. * Ability to serve as a facilitator/implementation partner, helping practices smoothly adopt and operationalize therapy. * Strong problem-solving, time management, and critical thinking skills. * Experience in direct oncology patient care as a registered nurse. * Familiarity with healthcare systems, EHRs, compliance, and adverse event reporting. * Willingness and ability to travel >75%. Education, Certifications and Experience:  * Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field and/or BSN preferred. * Active RN licensure in state of residency in good standing (compact/multi-state license preferred). * Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) required. * Minimum of 3–5 years’ oncology nursing experience strongly preferred. * Prior experience as a Nurse Educator, MSL, or in a field-based manufacturer role highly desirable.   Physical Requirements:  * Frequent travel (>75% with extended time onsite at provider practices.) * Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking. * Prolonged use of computers, telephones, and electronic communication tools. * Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. * Flexibility in working hours to align with provider and patient schedules.
