Our Rheumatology Department is currently seeking a full time Infusion RN to deliver care that is second to none in our high volume-fast paced practice.  Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to:  Clinic Duties include: * Assisting with procedures * Preparing and administering injections * Following up on and recording test results * Providing patient education * Completing prior authorizations for treatments and diagnostic testing * Screening calls for physicians and answering patient questions Infusion Duties include: * Performing initial and ongoing patient assessments prior to and during each infusion to ensure patients are free of infection, adverse reactions, or other complications * Performing venipuncture using aseptic technique and maintaining sterility of the closed IV system * Educating patients on IV therapy and the infusion process * Preparing IV medications according to drug reconstitution protocols * Administering medications per manufacturer guidelines * Assisting with clinical drug study infusions as needed Qualifications: * Current RN license is required. * Experience providing infusion treatment, preferred. * BLS required or must obtain within the first 60 days of employment. * Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems. * Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork. * Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality. * Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
