JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, you will perform routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities and support the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, preparation of cost data, and the project trend program. You will assist with budget allocation and developing quantity takeoffs, project codes, and application unit rates. Your work will help ensure projects stay on budget and excel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) related to the position and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Direct Hire Experience, preferably in a cost reimbursable environment.
• Experience in the design and/or construction of mining facilities is preferred, particularly related to cost issues.
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and problem solving ability.
• English language (desirable).

• Supporting the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports.
• Assisting with budget allocation and reporting/cost control for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines.
• Supporting the preparation of cost data for proposals or contracts.
• Assisting in the development of quantity takeoffs for a specific discipline or specialty.
• Assisting in developing specific project codes of accounts and recommends appropriate modifications and revisions.
• Supporting the project trend program.
• Assisting in the development and application of unit rates (cost and job hours) to quantity takeoffs.
