Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, you will be responsible for estimating, analysis and control activities for projects with significant non-routine requirements or for cost activities which require a high degree of technical skill. You will prepare cost studies, review cost trends, and develop and implement project requirements for cost control. Your detailed analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) related to the position and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Proven experience in the preparation and management of Backcharges and Trends.
  • Demonstrated experience in estimating or costing of scopes.
  • Ability to synthesize, result-oriented and proactive.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing generally non-routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities.
  • Coordinating the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports.
  • Coordinating the development and accuracy of cost reports.
  • Verifying consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency.
  • Preparing specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
  • Investigating the requirements for estimating and/or cost control data.
  • Collecting and classifies cost data.
  • Performing budget allocation and reporting/cost control regime for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines.
  • Identifying cost trends for management attention.
  • Preparing cost studies using historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparisons.
