Job Description The Boiler Operator is responsible for general boiler operations and general assistancethroughout the maintenance department and sanitation. Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Salary: $29.61 per hour. Hours Per Week: 40 + Over Time: As needed Workweek: To be determined. However, it could be Sun-Sat, variable schedule. They will workdays and nights. The boiler shifts are highly variable. The current boiler operators are working 7-12 hour shifts and have been averaging 50-55 hours/wk. Payment Days: Biweekly / Thursday Start Dates: ASAP Qualifications GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: • Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of Safety, Quality and Efficiency. • Attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills. • Ability to adapt effectively within a continually changing and demanding environment. • Demonstrate an understanding of the products manufactured and the processes involved. • Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines in order to maintain regulatory compliance. • Detail oriented, be quality minded. • Ability to work independently and prioritize. • High regard for safety and product quality. • Possess traits of honesty, integrity, creativity and flexibility. • Understand and follow written and oral instructions in the English language EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience working with boilers. Ideally, we would like them to have at least 6000 hours of boiler experience but need them have at least 2000 hours. MN has very complex licensing for boiler operators – which we realize we’ll need to assist them with getting. We need them to have a 1B to operate the boilers unsupervised, which requires 6000 hours.
