QUALIFICATIONS

· Diplôme de Bachelor of Science (ou M.Sc.) en ingénierie mécanique, aérospatiale ou structurelle
· Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience professionnelle en tant qu’ingénieur en contraintes
· Expérience professionnelle récente avec MSC.Apex, Patran & Nastran ou des logiciels similaires de simulation par éléments finis (UN AAVANTAGE) ;
· Expérience des méthodes conventionnelles de contraintes
· Expérience en modélisation de poutres
· Bonnes compétences interpersonnelles et organisationnelles· Bonnes compétences en communication écrite et orale
· Autonome, proactif
· Capable de travailler efficacement en équipe
· Réussir avec succès un quiz technique de 45 minutes (et questions orales)

QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum 5 years professional experience as Stress Engineer
· Recent professional experience using MSC.Apex, Patran & Nastran or similar FEA softwares (IS A PLUS);
· Experience of Stress Conventional Methods
·Experience of Beam Modeling
· Good interpersonal & organizational communication
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Self-motivated, proactive · Able to work efficiently in a team environment
· Pass successfully a 45-minute technical quiz (& verbal questions)

Responsibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

·Generate stress models to perform analytical and computational stress analysis of components, systems and machining aids to verify their structural integrity
·Define test requirements and criteria for development and qualification testing
· Issue stress reports to represent the details with regard to margins of safety calculation.· Coordinate stress assessment activities with the stress leader and provide guidance for the junior stress engineer.
· Generate associated time schedule estimates to plan for overall project performance.
· Answer stress assessment inquiries from customers
· Perform conventional (hand calculations) stress analysis of landing gear structural parts;
Present the outcome of engineering studies to senior engineers, managers and external partners (or customers);
·Provide substantiation compliance reports, technical support and documentation of static strength methods, analysis, tests and engineering data;

STRESS ENGINEER TASKS:

· Make beam (stick) model for landing gear (various stokes, configurations & load cases);
· Calculate Static Ultimate & Limit Margins of Safety;
· Working out the loads and stresses on different parts of a landing gear structure;
· Using computer simulations (FEM) to predict how structures will react under different load conditions;
·Inspecting unsafe components and recommending options for design improvements; · Making sure that projects meet legal guidelines, environmental directives, and safety requirements;
· Preparing progress reports to clients and senior managers;
Write technical reports or other documentation;

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
