INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER:

On behalf of our financial services client, Procom is searching for an Infrastructure engineer for a 12-month role with the possibility of extension.

INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The system is a strategic risk platform for the Fixed Income business and the SDLC team is responsible for building and managing the infrastructure supporting the complete development environment, focusing on automation and developer productivity enhancement.

INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development for Agile and DevOps projects.
  • Hands-on development experience with Java, Python, or Scala.
  • Experience with CI/CD, JIRA, Jenkins, and TeamCity.
  • Expertise in GIT/Bitbucket administration.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytics skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Exposure to Groovy.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS or Azure) and Docker.
  • Knowledge of traditional agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Understanding of application infrastructure and system architecture.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate to build new and expand existing infrastructure for the developer workflow.
  • Debug test and infrastructure-related issues to identify root causes.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, IDE experiences, and deployment infrastructure.
  • Engage in front-line support for internal developers.
