• Développement et ingénierie d’infrastructure ;
• Participation à divers projets d’automatisation et d’infrastructure liés aux bases de données ;
• Développement et maintenance de modules/scripts en Perl, ksh et Python ;
• Réalisation de tests unitaires et d’intégration ;
• Livraison de projets dans les délais et le budget avec supervision minimale ;
• Compréhension approfondie du scripting requise.

PERL ENGINEER

As a part of its agreements with its various clients, Procom is currently seeking a Perl engineer for a company in the investment sector. Our client is located in Montréal.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• The role will be for an infrastructure developer / engineer ;
• The candidate will be working on various database related infrastructure / automation projects that will require the development or maintenance of modules/scripts using perl, ksh and python ;
• The candidate will be responsible for development unit level testing and integration testing ;
• MS is looking for a result driven individual who is able to complete tasks with minimal supervision ;
• The candidate should have a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget ;
• Understanding scripting is a core requirement.

Mandatory Skills – Perl engineer

• History of delivering Perl based solutions for large scale mission critical production infrastructures ;
• Strong Unix shell scripting (in particular Korn Shell) ;
• Good Python shell scripting Experience of revision control systems ;
• Projects will use GIT but knowledge of other control systems a plus ;
• Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with our existing Perl / ksh /python-based infrastructure ;
