GENERAL INFORMATION:
We are looking for a Simulation and Verification Engineer to join our HVDC team at Hitachi Energy – Montreal. You will be part of a team of talented engineers working for Control and protection, reporting to the HVDC Engineering Manager in Canada. You will be responsible for performing simulations and verifications on real-time control in real and virtual environments. Responsibilities:
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will be part of all phases of delivery, which includes design, maintenance, testing, integration, verification, and deployment of the HVDC control & protection application functions needed for safe and reliable operations of plants and transmission links.
- Virtual representation of real-time control and protection systems.
- Test automation and metrics with verification studies.
- Support to study engineers in projects with insight for the base virtual development needs of our organization.
- Alignment with real time simulator set up.
- Assist in fault tracing and field failure by simulating the project specific applications.
- Update our high-level application software based on valuable inputs from simulations.
- Sense of responsibility, and the capability of planning and organizing your daily work and a problem solver who takes initiatives to solve challenges.
