About the role The Initial Accreditation Service and Delivery Officer plays a key role in supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of initial teacher accreditation services in NSW. Working within the Teacher Education and Accreditation directorate, this role oversees operational service delivery across the Initial Teacher Accreditation (ITA) team to ensure consistent, high-quality assessment and administrative processes. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys improving systems and ways of working while supporting a high-volume operational environment. You will work closely with the Lead, Initial Accreditation Service and Delivery to identify opportunities to strengthen processes, implement improvements, and enhance the experience of applicants and stakeholders. The role also provides the opportunity to lead people, collaborate across teams and contribute to strategic initiatives that support confidence in NESA’s teacher accreditation processes. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for: Monitoring service delivery across ITA workstreams to ensure consistent application of NESA policies, procedures and operational standards. Providing guidance and support to Team Leaders to strengthen capability, coordinate workloads and maintain high-quality assessment and administrative practices. Analysing operational data to identify risks, issues, trends and bottlenecks, and recommending improvements to support timely and accurate service delivery. Supporting the implementation of improvements to systems, workflows and processes by coordinating feedback, testing changes and supporting consistent adoption across the team. Reviewing and updating internal documentation, procedures and guidance materials to ensure clarity, compliance and effective risk management. Providing advice on complex or escalated initial accreditation cases and policy interpretation, with recommendations aligned to NESA policy. Working with the Lead, Initial Accreditation Service and Delivery to plan priorities, support team readiness for change initiatives and ensure alignment with directorate priorities. Supporting communication and engagement with internal and external stakeholders and contributing to projects and initiatives across the Initial Accreditation team and broader directorate. Our ideal candidate will have: Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating teams in a fast-paced operational environment, including managing workloads, supporting performance and promoting consistent, high-quality practice. Experience monitoring service delivery and identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes or customer experience. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement. Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide clear advice and build effective working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders. The ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy and service quality in a high-volume environment. Knowledge of current policies, processes and issues relating to teacher accreditation in NSW. Demonstrated experience in successfully developing and maintaining strong relationships and effective ways of working with colleagues and stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in leading people in a fast-paced environment, including coordinating workloads, supporting performance, and promoting consistent, high-quality practice. Essential requirements Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience.
