As we continue growing under our theme of One Team. Stable Foundation. Sustainable Growth., we are looking for an experienced Injection Molding Set-Up Technician to join our Manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on injection molding setup experience who enjoys troubleshooting, improving processes, and working closely with operations, tooling, maintenance, and quality teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Perform mold changes safely and efficiently while meeting setup goals * Set machine controls according to approved process parameters * Connect and verify water, oil, air, and auxiliary equipment systems * Start machines and support first-piece inspections with QA and Operators * Troubleshoot molding, robot, and auxiliary equipment issues * Monitor and adjust processes to ensure quality and production standards are achieved * Document setup parameters and complete setup paperwork accurately * Identify machine or mold concerns and communicate with Maintenance and Tooling teams * Support scrap reduction, process improvement, and lean manufacturing initiatives * Work collaboratively with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * 2+ years of injection molding setup or processing experience preferred * Experience performing mold and material changes * Understanding of injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment * Basic robot troubleshooting and setup experience * Basic hydraulic and process troubleshooting knowledge * Understanding of cycle times, contamination prevention, and setup efficiency * Ability to read and follow setup sheets, process parameters, and work instructions * Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Technical certificate or related manufacturing training preferred * Forklift/Hi-Lo experience preferred * Experience in lean manufacturing environments * Familiarity with Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems WHAT MAKES SOMEONE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE * Strong attention to detail * Reliable attendance and dependability * Positive attitude and willingness to learn * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Problem-solving mindset * Commitment to safety and quality PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds * Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout shift * Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels * Ability to operate overhead cranes, hydraulic lifts, and material handling equipment WHY JOIN GRC? * Stable and growing manufacturing company * Team-focused culture * Opportunities for technical growth and advancement * Competitive pay and benefits * Hands-on work with advanced manufacturing equipment and automation If you’re looking to grow your career in injection molding and manufacturing while working alongside a supportive and skilled team, we’d love to hear from you.
