Responsibilities

The Injury Management Coordinator role manages a caseload of WorkCover claims from across Youth Justice sites by providing expertise in all aspects of return to work programs, including complex cases, playing a critical role in managing early intervention programs and building productive working relationships with divisional staff, managers and external stakeholders.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Developing, implementing and coordinating return-to-work strategies for WorkCover recipients through consultation with the individuals concerned, line managers, rehabilitation agents, medical and allied health professionals, employee representatives, families and legal representatives by participating in case conferences when applicable
  • Providing advice on, and contributing to, the development and implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS) action plans, risk management strategies and injury reduction programs
  • Consulting with employees and other key stakeholders to resolve OHS, risk and injury management issues.
