Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Injury Management Partner to lead and coordinate proactive return-to-work strategies across RSPCA Qld. Reporting to the WHS Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for all things injury management—supporting early intervention, collaborating with People Leaders, and helping injured team members get back on track.
This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with external providers, develop practical recovery plans, and contribute to improvements in our injury management systems—all while making a difference in a mission-driven organisation.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As our Injury Management Partner, you’ll be at the heart of our health and wellbeing strategy—proactively supporting RSPCA Qld’s employees and volunteers through every stage of their recovery journey. Your role will combine empathy, expertise, and strategic thinking to support safe and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.

  • Your day-to-day might include:
  • Driving a positive safety culture by promoting early intervention and psychologically safe practices across teams and departments
  • Managing end-to-end injury cases (both work and non-work related), supporting injured employees and volunteers through timely communication, tailored planning, and compassionate care
  • Partnering with leaders to equip them with the knowledge, resources, and confidence to support their team members through recovery and return-to-work processes
  • Collaborating with medical providers and rehabilitation specialists to coordinate appropriate treatment and develop practical, achievable recover-at-work plans
  • Ensuring compliance and accuracy through detailed record-keeping, case documentation, claims coordination, and liaising with insurance providers (e.g., WorkCover, volunteer insurance)
  • Reviewing data and identifying trends to contribute to continuous improvement in systems, processes, and injury prevention strategies
  • Supporting the People & Culture team, contributing to broader wellbeing and operational initiatives that align with RSPCA Qld’s mission
