JOB DESCRIPTION
The Server is responsible for coordinating entire table service for guests and communicating with front and back of house personnel to provide a world class dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Servers will deliver gracious hospitality and ensure all guests receive friendly, courteous and prompt service at all times following prescribed and established Biltmore service standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Guest Service
1. Take guests’ food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
2. Input order into system and ensure transmission of food orders is verified by Kitchen.
3. Retrieve all alcoholic beverage items from service bar/wine station and serve to guest.
4. Open and serve wine/champagne bottles.
5. Serve food courses and beverage items to the guest according to established standards.
6. Ensure that each guests has appropriate silverware for each course and glassware for beverages ordered.
7. Clear each course, remove soiled wares from tables, transport to dishwashing area.
8. Present guest checks and process payments according to established procedures.
9. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and maintain positive guest relations at all times.
10. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
