Description:
ABOUT THE JOB
Fashion for Good seeks an Innovation Intern who will be responsible for supporting the processing and impact team (chemistry, machinery and impact) on technical evaluations and operational tasks. The Intern will also assist in conducting fast-track life cycle assessments on innovative technologies and benchmarking these against existing solutions.
Key responsibilities of the Intern include the following:
- Execute in depth due diligence with a focus on the scientific and technical feasibility of the innovation.
- Conduct fast-track life cycle assessments on selected innovations and processes, benchmarking against conventional solutions
- Scout, map and update the landscape of innovators, established and incumbents to further strengthen our scouting database in the different focus areas
- Assist the team in the creation of the Innovator deliverables (i.e. technical feasibility, lifecycle assessment, financial analysis: return on investments, impact analysis, project management, etc.)
- Assist in general Innovation Platform activities (including operations and day to day business activities)
- Project management and operational support of various projects within the processing department
- Provide analytical support to ongoing projects specifically relating to impact assessments and chemical analysis
- Write reports describing findings and recommendations for follow up actions
EDUCATION
Academic degree preferably within material science, chemistry, mechanical engineering, textile engineering or biotechnology. Please note that all our internships require that you are enrolled in tertiary study for the duration of the internship.
