About the role (Mission) Working within the Control & Signalling (C&S) Innovation team, the Innovation Leader drives innovative offer creation in the C&S Signaling and Relay product families in Singapore. You will operate with both creativity and business acumen, driving initiatives that cultivate an innovation-friendly culture, streamline the execution of new ideas, and ultimately unlock value for the organization and its customers. You will directlyThis role will report to the C&S Innovation Project Director. What will you do? Fully understand all the stakeholders and functions involved in the design and development process of an innovative product Act as a catalyst for customer-centric innovation, aligning teams around Design Thinking and VoC practices across disciplines Guide the Innovation team focusing on creating high value releases within committed time Cultivate strong relationships with partners and stakeholders Lead technology road-mapping efforts. Identify, acquire, or develop key technologies to maintain or establish leadership in key strategic markets. Lead the team to break down features, organize functions, identify relationships (interfaces) between systems/features and propose architectures, Manage ambiguity and priorities and negotiate tradeoffs for the team, Ensure smooth execution of backlog within the agreed timebox in compliance with the innovation project process milestones Facilitates and lead all the Agile rituals and key events such as Sprint planning, Squad updates (Daily or Weekly standup/ loop-in meeting/ Collaboration/ Short interval meetings etc.), Review & Retrospection and ensures all these are efficient & fruitful. Provide progress status and escalate impediments on a regular basis Identify, escalate, and help find resolutions to impediments of the team Establish, implement, and continuously improve team ways of working, Manage patent portfolio and explore new patent opportunities What qualifications will make you successful for this role? Engineering degree or a related field Minimum 5 years’ relevant professional experience in product development Strategic thinking and planning Excellent communication skills and proficient in written and spoken English. Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, capability of managing and coaching people in an environment for variety Broad exposure to HW/SW/Systems design in one or more engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Firmware, System Architecture etc.) Interest in early-stage product development, ability to cope with highly uncertain conditions, and being highly resilient and adaptable Ability to successfully lead and guide R&D technology development and innovation initiatives, Culturally aware, self-motivated, autonomous with Agile mindset, Capability to interpret technology and market trends as a basis for technology and product development.
