THE OPPORTUNITY

Our dynamic Product Innovation & Technology team are looking for an Innovation Services Officer to join the team in Port Kembla. The Australian Steel Products portfolio has six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
This role is diverse and hands-on where you’ll play a vital part in helping to keep our product innovation and technology functions running smoothly as they drive forward our innovation work plans.

With your experience working collaboratively in cross functional groups, you are self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail. You will also be;

  • managing purchase orders and coordinating with suppliers, including international vendors
  • supporting all aspects of office administration, including meeting coordination, travel bookings, catering, and processing credit card expenses
  • taking accurate minutes during meetings and ensuring timely distribution
  • assisting with staff training on internal business systems and processes
  • supporting the administration of our Knowledge Management function
  • working with our ERP system (SAP) to support ordering, reporting, and workflow management
  • the go-to person for keeping the Innovation Labs office running smoothly and efficientl

You bring a proactive approach to support, a strong attention to detail, and thrive in a role that connects people, systems, and processes across a collaborative team environment. You will also have;

  • Previous experience working within businesses that have Heavy Industrial or Laboratory environments
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Confidence in dealing with a variety of stakeholders, including international vendors
  • Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system is highly regarded
  • A positive attitude and willingness to take initiativ
