LIBRARY Innovation Services Specialist (25260313) Are you a technology-driven professional with a passion for innovation, education, and inspiring academic communities? The University Library is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and forward-thinking Innovation Services Specialist to join its Digital Initiatives and Research Cluster. In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver advanced technological solutions and research data services, empowering students and faculty to innovate, experiment, and excel. Responsibilities: Provide direct support for the operations of the Library’s CollabTech Commons, including providing technical consultation services to users, managing equipment bookings, and conducting installation, testing, and routine maintenance of equipment. Shift duties are required; Assist in planning, coordinating, and conducting workshops on equipment usage and safety; Assist in drafting equipment user guides; Contribute to the design and development of the CollabTech Commons; Design and conduct promotional activities for the CollabTech Commons to engage students from diverse backgrounds; and Undertake administrative and other additional tasks as needed to support the Cluster or the Library. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree or above is required, preferably in Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science; At least 2 years of work experience using prototyping equipment, including laser cutting/engraving, 3D printing, 3D scanning, and 2D/3D model drawing software (e.g. SolidWorks, CAD, CorelDRAW); Preferably experience in designing and conducting workshops or classes on prototyping equipment and providing research support in a university environment; A passion for student engagement, strong communication skills, a service-oriented attitude, and creativity with a willingness to learn new knowledge and skills; Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; and Fluency in both English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua). Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, in the range of HKD 22,275 - 38,375 per month.
