Description Inpatient Behavioral Health - Registered Nurse (RN) Department: Nursing - Inpatient Behavioral Health Status Hours: Contingent ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Job Summary: Fulton County Health Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Behavioral Health team. The Staff Nurse will provide comprehensive care addressing both the physical and behavioral needs of geropsychiatric patients. This role requires good judgment, and discretion, along with innovation, assertiveness, and effective communication skills. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team delivering family-centered care while adhering to the highest Standards of Practice and Ethics. Flexibility is essential to accommodate staffing changes based on patient care needs. Job Responsibilities: Provide care for geropsychiatric patients, focusing on both physical and behavioral health needs. Function as part of an interdisciplinary care team, delivering family-centered care. Adjust to changes in staffing or patient care requirements. Maintain professional conduct, effective communication, and interpersonal relations at all times. Uphold hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Requirements Current RN license from the State of Ohio Board of Nursing. BLS certification is required. Specialized training in behavioral health and experience in acute nursing care is preferred. Strong clinical skills with the ability to provide nursing care using knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences. Excellent judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable being assertive and open to personal and professional growth.
