About the role Mater is seeking expressions of interest from current team members for an Inpatient Billing Officer opportunity based at Mater Hospital South Brisbane. This is a full-time, maximum-term contract until February 2027, providing a unique opportunity to broaden your inpatient billing experience while supporting the transition and processing of Gold Coast accounts. This role is ideal for team members looking to expand their skillset, gain exposure to WebPAS, and further develop their knowledge of inpatient billing processes within a supportive and collaborative environment. Salary range: $46.96 - $51.73 per hour plus superannuation [https://www.ato.gov.au/tax-rates-and-codes/key-superannuation-rates-and-thresholds/super-guarantee] and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 [https://account.smartsalary.com.au/benefits-available?ercode=MML]  + access to many staff benefits!  [https://www.mater.org.au/group/careers/working-with-mater] What you’ll be doing In this position you will support the accurate and timely processing of inpatient billing activities while gaining experience across a new patient administration system and billing portfolio. In this role, you will: * Process inpatient billing activities for Gold Coast accounts using WebPAS * Coordinate and review documentation to ensure all chargeable services and items are accurately captured * Enter and validate CMBS item numbers and prosthesis information * Investigate and resolve missing or incomplete billing information * Liaise with practice managers, clinicians and internal stakeholders to obtain and verify billing data * Perform reconciliations to ensure billing accuracy and completeness * Generate and review utilisation and billing reports * Work closely with the broader Revenue team to support efficient billing processes * Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing across the team About you You are a highly organised and customer-focused professional with strong billing, administration, or healthcare revenue experience. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, have exceptional attention to detail, and enjoy working collaboratively to achieve team outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will have: * Experience working within inpatient billing processes * Knowledge of CMBS item numbers and prosthesis billing requirements * Strong attention to detail and data accuracy skills * The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills * A collaborative approach and willingness to learn new systems and processes * A commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes and excellent customer service * Experience using iPM, with an interest in developing capability in WebPAS Why join us?
