Position Overview BayCare Medical Group, the leading physician-led medical group in the Tampa Bay area, is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our Neurosurgery team at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a rapidly growing neurosurgery practice serving both pediatric and adult patients across the greater Tampa Bay region. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, adaptable, and compassionate with a desire to grow within a high-volume, high-acuity specialty. Key responsibilities: High-acuity, hospital-based neurosurgical care Hospital-based rounding, consults, and OR support Light weekend daytime call rotation (~1:7) Collaboration with ICU and surgical teams Functioning as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-quality neurosurgical care. Qualifications Board Certified PA (NCCPA) or APRN Active Florida license (or ability to obtain) Neurosurgery experience strongly preferred Candidates with neurosurgical clinical rotations considered For inpatient/night roles: Acute care, surgical, or critical care experience preferred Strong knowledge of brain and spine pathologies Ability to work in a collaborative, high-acuity environment Company Overview Benefits: BayCare Medical Group offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package to attract and retain top talent.
