Description
Ensures phlebotomists are collecting specimens from patients appropriately, obtaining prior unsuccessful sample collections, communicates with nursing staff to solve problems, provides leadership and guidance to inpatient phlebotomists, leads workflow and monitors all zones to ensure timely completion of draws, coaches phlebotomists on opportunities to improve patient care and draw technique, provides training and performance feedback for new phlebotomists, provides backup coverage for specimen processing as needed; also performs clerical, quality, housekeeping, and miscellaneous duties as assigned. 
Responsibilities
Leads and guides inpatient phlebotomists to ensure timely and accurate specimen collection while monitoring workflow across all zones. Provides training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff and coordinates with nursing personnel to resolve issues.
