Description Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an Inpatient Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a permanent night-shift opportunity in Gainesville, Florida. The Inpatient Surgical RN provides post-operative nursing care to adult patients recovering from a variety of surgical procedures. This role focuses on wound care, pain management, patient education, and safe recovery following PACU discharge, while maintaining strong clinical judgment and patient advocacy in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment. Key Responsibilities • Provide post-surgical nursing care to patients following PACU recovery. • Perform wound care, monitor surgical sites, and manage post-operative pain. • Deliver patient education related to recovery expectations, wound recognizing complications, and discharge planning. • Monitor patient status and intervene appropriately for changes in condition. • Manage multiple patients safely while maintaining quality, efficiency, and patient-centered care. • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support optimal outcomes. Compensation Hourly Pay Range (Based on Experience) • $30.69/hour (approximately 2 years of experience) • $33.71/hour (approximately 5 years of experience) • $43.20/hour (maximum | ~17+ years of experience) Shift Differentials • Night shift: $4.25/hour • Weekend shift: $3.00/hour Sign-On Bonus • $25,000 – Nights Only Additional Information • Relocation assistance available on a case-by-case basis Requirements • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license for the position you are applying for. • Florida RN license or valid multistate compact license required. – Candidates with compact licensure must obtain Florida licensure as required. • Associate Degree or RN Diploma required; BSN preferred. • Minimum of 1 year of recent (within the last 4 years) acute care RN experience required. • Candidates with 3+ years of RN experience and compact licensure may be considered. • Candidates with less than 3 years of RN experience must obtain Florida NCLEX licensure prior to consideration if not already licensed in Florida. • Must be comfortable with a 7:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. • Ability to attend in-person interviews and onsite evaluations as required.
