Description This opportunity reports to our Morehead City location in the beautiful eastern North Carolina beach area. Well established location serving customers since 1947. If you are bi-lingual, have a passion for customer engagement, and a knowledge of building materials, this job is for you! Compensation is heavily incentivized with no earning ceiling. Position Summary: Acts as primary salesperson for walk-in customer traffic. Interacting with customers to understand their needs and recommending product solutions. Process orders, receive payments, and assist customer with delivery or pick-up process. Position Responsibilities: · Greet and assist customers at the sales counter, offering guidance on product selection and providing information on promotions and discounts. · Develop a deep understanding of our product range, including lumber, building materials, hardware, and related products, to effectively answer customer inquiries. · Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system, handling cash, credit card, and other payment methods. · Assist customers in placing orders for special order products, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment. · Resolve customer issues and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive and satisfying experience. · Work closely with other team members, including warehouse staff, to ensure a smooth and coordinated operation. · All other duties as needed or assigned. Requirements Education/Formal Training: · High School Diploma/GED required. Associate degree or higher is preferred. Work Experience/Skills: · Experience in sales, preferably in the lumber & building materials industry. Required be fluent in English and Spanish (bi-lingual).
