Description Mack Industries is seeking a motivated, detail oriented Inside Sales Engineer / Drafter in Bowling Green to support engineering, sales, production, and product development efforts. This hybrid role combines technical drafting responsibilities with sales and customer support functions, providing the opportunity to create accurate shop drawings, assist with estimating and bid proposals, and serve as a key point of contact for customers. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed production shop drawings for customer approval Develop drawings for precast concrete products (ie. drainage, electrical, and Perform engineering and estimating takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications Assist in preparing submittal packages, quotes, and project documentation Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop customer relationships and track project leads Research and pursue project opportunities in Northwest Ohio, Southwest Ohio, and Indiana markets Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate quantities, layouts, and project handoff Create conceptual drawings to support sales and bidding efforts Utilize AutoCAD, 3D modeling software, and Stack IT to produce accurate drawings Use ERP systems to import orders, enter order lines, and update product information/BOMs Engage directly with customers to confirm specifications, timelines, and expectations Provide knowledgeable support to customer walk-ins at the Bowling Green facility Maintain project schedules and workflow in alignment with department goals Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications Strong analytical and math skills with high attention to detail Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills Preferred: Experience with precast concrete, piping systems, or construction processes Prior drafting, engineering, or construction experience Familiarity with ERP systems, 3D modeling software, and takeoff software Ability to read blueprints (training can be provided) Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Behavioral Competencies Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset Customer-focused and responsive Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Sound judgment and problem-solving ability Accountability for quality and results Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work may be performed in office, manufacturing, and construction environments Exposure to noise, dust, dirt, and seasonal weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Ability to stand, squat, crawl, climb, and kneel as needed Additional Information This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
