Description Inside Sales Engineer Mack Industries is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team at our Bowling Green location. This position will assist with engineering and estimating takeoffs, support business development efforts in the Southwest Ohio and Indiana markets, and serve as the first point of contact for customer walk-ins. This role offers the opportunity to grow alongside our expanding sales and engineering teams while contributing to both customer service and project development efforts. Job Type: Full-Time Key Responsibilities: Perform engineering and estimating takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications for precast concrete products, including manholes, box culverts, vaults etc. Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop customer relationships, track project leads, and manage follow-up communications. Research and pursue project opportunities in the Southwest Ohio and Indiana regions through online bid listings, contractor outreach and online construction databases. Work closely with the Engineering department to generate accurate quantities, layouts, and preliminary designs for bid proposals. Assist in preparing submittal packages, quotes, and project documentation. Support coordination between sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure accurate takeoff information and smooth project handoff. Provide ongoing feedback on market trends, pricing opportunities, and regional growth strategies. Assist customers and contractors visiting the Bowling Green facility, providing knowledgeable and professional support. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Mechanical Engineering. Experience or coursework in civil engineering, construction management, or drafting/design preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications. Strong analytical and math skills with a high attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, or similar takeoff software a plus. Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Environment Conditions and Physical Strain Construction environment with seasonal weather conditions, office conditions Position requires indoor and outdoor activities Due to the nature of operations, the level of noise, dust and dirt can be high Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., on occasion Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Must be able to squat, crawl and kneel to complete tasks Behavioral Traits Interested candidates are willing to engage in a wide spectrum of mechanical and civil engineering principles and should be passionate about mechanical and/or civil engineering Mack Industries, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
