Description:

We are seeking an Education Consultant who is comfortable with a role that involves 90% telephone-based sales and 10% UK school visits/exhibitions/edtech events. An experienced salesperson who is confident in generating their own leads and building a sales pipeline from the ground up.

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven track record in telesales, preferably in the edtech industry
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Familiarity with education technology products and SaaS
  • Legal right to work in the UK, preferably within commute of Bath
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills

    This role is ideally based in Bath three times a week, home for two, but we are willing to consider remote workers on the basis that you will be expected to travel to the office every five weeks for an overnight stay. As the office is a listed building, we do not have a lift, so please make us aware before the interview so we can make the necessary accommodations.

Responsibilities:

Sales and Lead Generation

  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective customers, including schools, educators, and administrators, to present EdTech solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Identify and qualify potential leads by gathering key information about their goals, challenges, and buying intent.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly sales targets and quotas through diligent prospecting and follow-up.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, ensuring a positive experience with the brand.
  • Address customer inquiries or objections effectively, providing accurate information about products, pricing, and implementation.
  • Maintain detailed records of interactions in the CRM system, ensuring accurate tracking of sales pipelines and opportunities.

Product Expertise and Demonstration

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the company’s EdTech solutions, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Conduct virtual product demonstrations and walkthroughs to showcase the value of the tools and platforms offered.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, updates, and competitor products to position the company’s offerings better.

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Partner with the marketing team to follow up on campaigns, nurture leads, and align messaging for a seamless customer journey.
  • Collaborate with the School Success Advisors to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation for new customers.
  • Share insights and feedback from customer interactions to help refine sales strategies and product development.

Data and Reporting

  • Track and analyse sales performance metrics, preparing regular reports on progress toward goals.
  • Provide actionable insights on customer preferences, challenges, and trends based on sales data and conversations.

Professional Development

  • Participate in regular training sessions and workshops to enhance sales techniques and product knowledge.
  • Continuously improve telesales skills through role-play, feedback, and best practices shared by the team.
