Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Inside Sales/Business Development member to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a key role in driving sales growth through cold calling, scheduling sales meetings, managing the sales team’s calendar, and preparing key administrative documents such as quotes, purchase orders, and invoices. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to build relationships with customers and stakeholders to support business development.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct proactive cold calling and prospecting to generate new business opportunities.
Qualify inbound inquiries and identify potential leads for follow-up by the sales team.
Research and identify potential clients within the laboratory, cleanroom, and industrial sectors.
Schedule and coordinate sales meetings for the field sales representatives.
Prepare and send sales proposals, invoices to clients.
Update and maintain the internal system with client information, opportunities, and sales progress.
Ensure all customer inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally.
Track sales leads and follow-up actions, providing regular reports on sales activity.
Collaborate with the sales team to maintain an up-to-date pipeline and ensure progress toward sales targets.
Build and maintain positive relationships with new and existing clients.
Offer post-sale support by ensuring smooth transitions from sales to delivery, as well as addressing any customer service issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience in inside sales, business development, or a similar role, preferably within the laboratory, pharma or medical equipment sectors.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage clients.
Proficiency in using systems such as Xero/Sage/Quickbooks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and email platforms.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prepare accurate quotes, purchase orders, and invoices.
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with a desire to exceed sales targets.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Experience with cold calling, prospecting, and lead generation techniques.
