SGS is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Internal Sales Executive to join our dynamic team in Shepton Mallet. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in sales within a fast-paced, B2B environment
This Internal Sales position is focused on driving business growth by supporting the external sales team. You’ll play a key role in identifying, researching, and generating new leads, as well as maintaining and expanding relationships

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Confident cold caller and natural lead generator
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer service mindset
  • Previous experience in a phone-based, B2B technical or logistics environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively call and email potential clients, uncover new opportunities, and raise awareness of SGS solutions.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct competitor analysis and monitor industry trends to help shape our strategy.
  • Customer Support: Handle inbound enquiries via phone, email, Teams, and chatbot.
  • Sales Support: Create quotes and proposals, progress leads, and coordinate meetings for the sales team.
  • CRM Management: Maintain and update client records, monitor contract performance, and report on activity using Salesforce.
  • Client Development: Re-engage lapsed clients and explore opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with onboarding, document management, and invoice/payment queries.
