Role Overview The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for the overall management, support, training, and development of the inside sales representatives. This includes the process and execution of all customer interactions including customer inquiries, quoting, sourcing, follow-up, order processing and support tasks required for the sales process. Manager Responsibilities Leading and motivating the team to achieve performance goals. Setting clear objectives and expectations for team members. Providing coaching, support, and feedback to enhance team performance. Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Acting as a liaison between upper management and staff. Analyzing performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement. Implementing strategic initiatives to achieve organizational goals. Addressing personnel issues and fostering a positive work environment. Responsibilities Maintains and grows company sales in the pursuit of increased customer service, sales, and profit maximization. Ensures workload optimization is balanced and rebalanced as needed between inside sales team members. Provides technical support to inside sales team and customers as needed. Reviews quotes and orders to ensure company guidelines are being met. Works with Inside Sales Representatives on upselling customers during the quoting process. Oversees the ship ticket entry and processing are completed accurately and per company guidelines. Works with Inside Sales Representatives on large/critical customer quotes. Reviews buy-outs to ensure company profits are being maximized. Actively promotes new and existing products and services to add value to the customer and sales process. Communicate with Branch Manager on progress against monthly sales and profit targets. Works with the Outside Sales Manager on customer growth and conversion. Manages and provides daily directions, guidance, training, and communication with the inside sales team. Recruits, hires, develops, coaches and trains inside sales staff. Perform additional duties as required and assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. 2+ years managing a sales team and exceeding goals. Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21, Eclipse or other distribution ERP. Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal]. Thrives in a collaborative team environment. Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach. Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lift to 50 lbs., carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
