A global industrial parts distributor in Indianapolis is looking for an Inside Sales/ Purchasing Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time and direct hire position.
INSIDE SALES/ PURCHASING ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTS:
· Collage Degree or experience with similar roles
· 2-3 years’ experience in an office environment is strongly preferred.
· Japanese related business experience is a huge plus
· Must be proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Must be flexible and able to work in a multicultural environment
· Must be able to work responsibly and effectively

This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

· Create purchase orders based on customer’s forecast, and arrange delivery schedule.
· Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving as well as update daily inventory for multiple locations.
· Communicate with customers and vendors regarding any inquiries.
· Provide product and pricing information by clarifying customer request
· Respond to customer’s urgent request and arrange expedite delivery schedule.
· Handle import business from overseas.
· Administrative tasks such as filing, data entry/processing, etc.
· Other duties as assigned
