Position:Inside Sales Representative – Water Management Products
Job type: Full Time Permanent
Shift: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm | 1 hour Lunch
Location: Oakville, ON L6H 5S3
Pay: $60-70K + Monthly commission based on team performance - Total OTE - 80K

Our client, is a market leader in trench drains and stormwater management products, serving contractors, distributors, architects, and engineers. Founded and led by an engineer with deep technical expertise, they design and manufacture innovative solutions for construction projects across Canada.
The Inside Sales team works closely with Area Sales Managers in the field to deliver high-quality service and technical product support.
We’re looking for a technically minded Inside Sales Representative to join the Ontario sales team. This is a desk-based role where you’ll collaborate with the Area Sales Manager to identify, qualify, and follow up on construction project leads, prepare and manage quotes, and advise customers on the best solutions for their needs.
You will interact daily with contractors, distributors, and specifiers, using your technical knowledge to ensure our products are applied correctly and effectively in projects.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the Area Sales Manager to develop strategies for active and upcoming projects.
Prepare and send 10–15 quotes per day to contractors, distributors, and end users.
Provide knowledgeable advice on water management products, including trench drains and stormwater systems.
Research and qualify new project leads in the Ontario market through databases, construction websites, and government tenders.
Review blueprints and project plans to identify where products may fit; coordinate with the technical department to develop solutions.
Follow up on quotes (1–2 times), answer technical/product questions, and hand off to the Area Sales Manager for closing.
Maintain accurate project data in the CRM system, including follow-up schedules.
Offer inside support to field sales staff and assist distributors with project needs.
Train directly with the President and shadow experienced Inside Sales Representatives.
What We’re Looking For
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn engineered products.
Knowledge of construction processes, contractor workflows, and building systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
1+ year of inside sales experience (construction or industrial products preferred) or equivalent education/training.
Excellent communication skills—friendly, professional, and customer-focused.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and internet research.
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
