Description Position Summary Illinois Electric Works (IEW) is a leading EASA-certified motor repair, field service, and equipment solutions provider serving industrial, utility, steel, chemical, and municipal customers across the Midwest. The Inside Sales Representative plays a key role at the center of our customer experience—managing inquiries, coordinating repairs, producing accurate quotes, and supporting our rapidly growing distribution and new motor sales business. Key Responsibilities Primary point of contact for incoming calls, emails, and walk-in customer inquiries. Build strong relationships with IEW customers Provide timely, accurate communication and follow-up on quotes, repair status, delivery timelines, and service requests. Partner with IEW’s outside sales team to identify leads and support key accounts. Prepare detailed repair and replacement quotes using inspection reports, estimator guidance, historical benchmarks, and IEW’s shop capabilities. Quote new motors and components from IEW’s distribution partners, ensuring competitive pricing and availability. Enter and maintain orders in the ERP system while coordinating closely with the shop, purchasing, and scheduling personnel. Track quote conversion rates and follow up proactively to drive growth for IEW. Key Success Measures at IEW Fast, accurate quote turnaround. High quote-to-order conversion rate. Customer satisfaction and repeat business from key Midwest accounts. Requirements Required Strong communication skills and customer service mindset. Experience in industrial sales, repair services, and/or customer-facing operations. Ability to read/interpret motor nameplate data and basic technical information. Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. High School Graduate / GED (Associate’s Degree Preferred) Preferred Experience in an EASA motor repair facility or related rotating equipment industry. Familiarity with industrial environments common to IEW customers (steel, chemical, utility, manufacturing, municipal). Technical aptitude and willingness to learn electric motor fundamentals. Experience supporting distributor sales for motors, drives, and mechanical components.
