AS AN INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE, YOU WILL:

  • Provide excellent customer service through in-person, phone, and email communication. Understand customer needs and recommend suitable welding solutions, equipment, and supplies.
  • Leverage your advanced knowledge of welding processes and equipment to assist customers with technical inquiries, product selection, and troubleshooting.
  • Generate sales by building relationships with customers, identifying new sales opportunities, and offering tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Processes all orders with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Consults with customers to determine delivery date, location and method, and establishes any follow-up actions required. Coordinates and prioritizes order deliveries with Logistics Team.
  • Works closely with other workgroups to ensure good flow of activity across various departments in the organization, with a focus on efficiency, continuous improvement and customer service.
  • Ensures showroom is appropriately stocked and cleaned, displays are maintained and advises management of any discrepancies.
  • Conducts inventory spot checks and deviates accordingly.
  • Backs up Shipping/Receiving department when required and proactively provides support and assistance to all work groups across the Company.
  • Ensures all tasks are followed and completed in accordance with the Company’s operating philosophies, safety policies and regulatory standards; encourages and educates others to work safely and follow safety policies and safe work procedures.
  • Shares ideas and participates actively in projects and other duties as assigned by management.
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, equipment, and related products (e.g., welding machines, consumables, safety equipment).
  • Maintains a valid Class 5 Manitoba driver’s license in good standing with a clear driving abstract (required).
  • Has at least 2 years of experience in Sales or Customer Service, preferably within a similar industrial environment.
  • Have your Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Be familiar with the requirements of transporting dangerous goods (TDG) and WHMIS 2015 an asset.
  • Be physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling weights of up to 75 lbs, as well as confident maneuvering equipment up to 1500 lbs (with proper lifting/pushing apparatus and techniques).
  • Be comfortable with handheld scanning technology, and familiar with the Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Performs other duties and project work as required.
