POSITION SUMMARY

This is an internal sales position requiring strong communication, customer service, time management, and facilitation skills.
Supporting Welded Tube’s existing business, success in this role will require a passion for developing new business with a high degree of dedication, professionalism and integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum College Diploma in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in customer service or sales, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience with a computerized purchasing/inventory system.
  • Occasional travel to customers’ locations is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with AS400 systems is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of steel industry, especially tubing and its application is an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare responses to customer inquiries and follow-up with customers, obtaining feedback.
  • Seek and explore all sales leads and opportunities, working with Outside Sales and reporting feedback to Management.
  • Develop and maintain accurate customer data.
  • Accept, enter and verify customer orders for accuracy. Seek customer agreement (as required) confirming order is accurate and agreed upon.
  • Expedite customer orders to coincide with customer’s required delivery date. Provide customer with updated delivery status as required.
  • Provide support and training to other Inside Sales Representatives as required.
  • Develop customer loyalty by addressing all customer inquiries, concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Participate in WTC’s continuous improvement activities.
