We are looking for a proactive, results-driven Inside Sales, Sales development to drive lead generation and customer engagement across the academic, biotech, biopharma, research medical institutions, and government sectors. Reporting to the APAC Inside Sales Manager, the successful candidate will take responsibility for developing and qualifying sales opportunities within a defined geographic territory and to company standards. The individual is expected to professionally and effectively complete the day-to-day tasks required, across a number of disciplines, via the telephone, zoom, email or social media using ONT sales tools and resources. Combined with their personal organisational and communication skillsets they identify, develop and manage new sales opportunities that support the sales function to achieve or exceed their annual sales quotas. The most important tasks are to effectively manage Sales Funnel Activities, in SFDC, to drive new business. Proactively plan and manage Sales Prospecting activities to support and drive new business. Triaging outbound/inbound calls from/to customers, managing cases and qualifying sales leads. Manage service contract renewals in a structured way for specified instruments. Support for specified Channel Partners and marketing, as directed, and supporting events and lead follow-up. This role requires a proactive, curios and organised mindset with a focus, but not limited to, the following Key Areas of Responsibility which represents their KPIs. What you'll be doing: Demonstrate professional and effective use of the toolset, skillset and mindset to manage Sales Funnel Activities in SFDC, managing Event Lead to 100%, and other key tools as directed Effectively, being a self-starter, plan and manage Prospecting Activities in a structured and professional manner Effectively, being a self-starter, plan and manage Triaging of inbound/outbound customer calls and cases Effectively, being a self-starter, plan and manage Service Contract Renewals by using required systems – SFDC and Iron Clad as directed Effectively, build personal industry and product knowledge to become expert support for specified Channel Partners to support sales growth Other responsibilities include: Proactively develop strategies to identify and engage potential customers. Act as the frontline voice for Oxford Nanopore, reporting key market feedback and lead quality to internal teams. Schedule meetings and calls between prospects and Account Managers Collaborate closely with Account Managers,Channel Partners and Marketing to meet company goals and optimize lead flow. Independently execute lead generation strategies, using research techniques to find high-value prospects. Track, report, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives that drive revenue growth. Support commercial teams in shortening the sales cycle and improving customer engagement. Provide actionable market feedback on industry trends and competitive activities. Maintain accurate CRM records for leads, contacts, and accounts. ​What We're Looking For... We'll expect you to have a BSc degree and/or Masters in Life Sciences, genetics and genomics and ideally a PhD level qualification in Life Sciences or a relevant field. You'll have prior sales experience, preferably inside sales and have worked with research/life science customers and you know your way around CRM systems. In addition, you have an understanding of current DNA sequencing technologies and their applications, strong communication and influencing skills and knowledge of the Life Sciences and Genomics market. You consider one of your key strengths to be your ability to build strong relationships with others, and you're someone who values teamwork. Ideally, you have experience of working in a global team working with field-based staff to deliver territory goals. You're comfortable and confident working in a fast-paced matrixed sales and service environment where you've implemented successful marketing and sales campaigns. You have a positive approach with a can-do attitude and like to use your initiative, yet you're able to exercise sound judgement and tact. If you have business level conversation skills in other languages, this would also be of benefit. You're also someone keen to join a disruptive, cutting-edge, high-tech organisation.
