POSITION SUMMARY

Rio Grande Co. is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative – Stone & Brick to join our Sales team. This role is critical in guiding contractors, builders, and homeowners through the product selection process, quoting, and order fulfillment. As a key point of contact, you will collaborate with our outside sales team and operations staff to ensure a seamless and satisfying customer experience from inquiry to delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: 2+ years in inside sales or customer service, preferably in construction or building materials.
  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with masonry, stone, or brick products is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Technical: Proficiency with computers and sales software (experience with ERP systems is a plus).
  • Teamwork: Professional, positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift and carry samples up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods when working in the showroom or yard.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service for walk-in, phone, and email inquiries regarding stone and brick products.
  • Generate quotes, process orders, and follow up to close sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of product lines, including natural stone, thin veneer, manufactured stone, and brick.
  • Coordinate with vendors and purchasing teams to manage special orders and lead times.
  • Support outside sales representatives in managing accounts and delivering exceptional service.
  • Maintain showroom displays, samples, and literature in a clean and organized manner.
  • Track open orders and collaborate with yard operations to ensure timely, accurate deliveries.
  • Assist with project takeoffs and material estimates as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers through consistent and reliable communication.
