Description The primary responsibility of the Service Technician is to diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul machinery and vehicles. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments as necessary. Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. Record details of repairs made, and parts used. Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and locate and diagnose malfunctions. Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools. Use diagnostic equipment to properly diagnose and reprogram ECU’s when needed Prepare list of parts for estimates/orders Work with service office to keep customers up to date Maintain a clean work environment Continue training to meet OEM requirements Requirements QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel software. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma/ GED 1-2 years of service technician experience LANGUAGE AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to management. REASONING ABILITY Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATION Forklift certified preferred Kubota Registered Technician preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
