We are looking for someone with a growth mindset, excellent visualisation, technical skills and the ability to interact well with others. Our Data, Analytics & Strategy business unit comprises of several specialist teams who work alongside other performance units to design and advance the BNZ agenda. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with our Head of Analytics (Who you'll report to), and they let us know the following about the role: Most of our work is project based. Our analysts look after the projects from end to end, including gathering the requirements from the stakeholders, creating the output, and then delivering the results. We engage with the engineering team and other business units as required and support each other in the team with peer reviewing each other's work. What are 5 day-to-day tasks the person in this role will complete? Monitor, analyse and comment on BNZ performance, risks, and trends affecting business in context of market, current strategic direction and goals. Provide analytical representation in respect to strategic initiatives and forums. Focus on improving accuracy, business focus and actionable insight in reporting. Input into appropriate action plans based on business insights, trends, issues and opportunities. Provide insights to Executive Team and Enterprise Leaders to enable decisions to be fact based and aligned to business strategy. What is the team culture and environment like? Our stakeholders are highly engaged and we're able to make a tangible difference to the organisation. What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity? Our biggest challenge is dealing with multiple data sources and complications; we embrace this challenge and endeavour to make our data easier to access and decipher for the rest of the business. What skills and attributes are required for this position? Ability to engage with all levels of the business, reporting findings and challenging the status quo. Must be proficient in at least one visual analytics tool: Tableau or PowerBI Highly proficient in SQL Self-motivated, quick learner, and a strong ability to influence.
